Trombonist Huai-En Tsai enjoys his busy concert engagements as a solo player, chamber musician and orchestral player. As the winner of the Baltimore Music Club Music Competition in 2006 and the Artist International Inc., Audition in 2007, he toured internationally to give concerts and lectures. His distinguished performances received praises from newspapers which including The Liberty Times, Washington Chinese News, The Epoch Times, The World Journal, Baltimore Examiners, Baltimore City Paper, The Towerlight of Towson University and The Albuquerque Tribune. Tsai's recent engagements including lecture, masterclass and performances in Boston University, Frostburg State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, University of Maryland College Park, Xiamen University in China, Soochow University and Nanhua University in Taiwan, American Trombone Workshop and International Trombone Festival in Osaka, Japan.
Tsai received the Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he studied with James Olin, Currently, Tsai serves as the principal trombonist of Pro Arte Chamebr Orchestra of Washington, He is on the faculty at Midewest University Washington Campus.
